There's an article in the Dallas paper this morning talking about Abbott and his proposals to stop school shootings.

One line states that 90% of Texans, including gun owners, support increased aka universal background checks.

I'll call bullflop on this as there's no way in hell you can get 90% of people to agree on anything.

IMHO you would have to get 150% of the non-gun owning public to counteract the gun owners.

The way to get this result in a poll is all in the wording:

"do you want to avoid putting guns in the hands of criminals?"

    yes or no?

apparently 10% of those they polled ARE criminals.

Yep. It discriminates against the elderly, poor and people of color to require an ID to vote. But requiring an ID to purchase a firearm doesn't. At least according to the Progressive Liberal mind.

Polls are not random either, they are aimed.
I had a chance to add to these polls one time as I received a call from one of these pollsters last year. The lady explained that my answers to the survey would be used as part of a political study or some nonsense like that.

First question they asked me was are you a "Democrat or a Republican"? I responded that "I am neither, and I am more affiliated with the Constitution Party"... Lady said thank you, and my input was no longer needed to complete the survey. She then hung up on me. I didn't even get the chance to laugh in her ear.
