Rather than not participating and not giving any answers, give BS answers that make their results flawed. Can't draw and valid conclusions if your input is flawed to start with. If you've ever taken a statistics class, you'll know how easy it is to manipulate statistics. I'm pretty sure the extent of the DMN poll was a staff "reporter" sticking its head above its cubicle and yelling "Hey, guys...." or its non-gender-specific equivalent.
