What are you reloading 115 124 or 147 in your 9’s? Bought a bunch of 115 but I’ve been reading 124’s might shoot better. I realize that each gun likes something different.

The location of the gun may also be a factor to consider. In my gun, 230 45acp is preferred.
What was your experience before buying the 115?

Consider application too, I load 147's for shooting suppressed. Made for an easy transition when one of my kids was ready to move up from 22LR.

    Depends on application:
    124 for range time
    147 hp for defense rounds

Also consider the powder you have, some powders shoot better with a certain bullet weights in my testing, depending on how fast or slow the powder burns.

    What powder are you using?

A long time ago a guy at the range asked me how accurate my 9mm 115s were since it didn't look like there was enough bearing surface to get a good grip on the barrel. So I bought 124s on my next bullet order.

Then I split an order of 115s with a buddy and realized I had wasted a lot of money on those 124s. I'm about to finish the 124s I originally bought and will start on the 6000 115s I got a deal on prepandemic.

I've been shooting cast/coated 120s since just before Covid.

A bit of caution always wise, if chamber is marked 9mm instead of 9x19 then it was probably designed for 115 grain bullets, the 9x19 is more robust and 124 is standard , two of my 9mm are over 100 years old and certainly not strong enough for my 124grain hot SD loads The Kimber Micro 9 handles them fine

115 RMR, both FMJ (1.10 OAL) and HP (1.060 OAL). I load them on the short side to accommodate the Ruger PCC. They work fine in the P365 as well. I've loaded 124 in the past and they worked fine as well. I'm not sure I noticed much difference. Most of my loads are currently with Longshot, but lots with Power Pistol as well.

I usually go heavy for caliber in SD ammunition. However, after reading an article by Skeeter Skelton, I've gone with the 124s he recommended for best SD round in 9mm.

I reload 124. For some reason I accidentally got 1500 115's . I'll keep them aside just in case I need them at some point.

I load mine long for a Ruger P95. Never tried reloads in my Shield or SUB2K.

124 is heavy for cartridge (not caliber).

124 seemed more accurate in my 92FS when I shot at 40 yards in IDPA. Can't tell the difference at normal short range. I've never really tested them as in 50 yard bullseye. I'm going to try some 147 in my 9mm EZ, hope to raise point of impact. If this doesn't work, I'll file the front sight.
