i will soon be reloading 9mm and .380. I'm on a budget right now and was wondering if i can use 9mm dies to reload .380, aside from having to re-set the dies every time i switch round would it cause any problems.

They will not work,9mm has a different taper.I have gotten .380 mixed in with 9mm and tried to run them through my Dillon, Just buy the correct die sets.

The 9mm dies will not size the .380 cases much past the mouth. Get the dies for the .380. The Lee dies are pretty cheap and work well.

Exactly, the sizing die will not size properly. Lee makes good dies despite popular belief, and you can even find a die set on craigs or in one of the forums if have patience.

You can't lock regular threads as far as I know, only your own classifieds. Mods have to do that.

By the way, get seperate dies. It won't work. Ha!

Threads like this are good to keep open; never know when someone else will come along and not have to post a new thread on the same question. No need to lock it.

Only other cartridge the .380 dies can load is the 9mm Browning Long. You're not likely to run into a handgun chambered for that, although it is possible.
