    Exactly

I think one round of 556 unsupressed indoors would be enough to incapacitate the attacker and you!

    Its not THAT bad.

Its pretty bad, but if I'm discharging anything indoors, the choice between hearing loss or whatever the alternative may be makes it a pretty easy choice

I run a Foxtrot Mike PCC with 16" barrel. I bought it for 3-gun and it has been very reliable. I orginally purchased a Ruger PC Carbine but I prefer the ergos of the AR.
I would seriously take a look at the FM products and Primary Arms is a distributor and they usually run sales of them pretty often.

I was seriously looking at one of their pistols. Price is right and I've read many good things. And you're right, the PCC ergos aren't so hot in comparison. One reason I traded mine off.

I’m gonna save you money for ammo...

I know a few guys who have this ugly little dude, but everyone who has one loved them! They run flawlessly on Glock, Magpul, and ETS magazines.

I’ve shot them...they are way cool!!!

I have an Extar 556 I bought on a whim. I liked it so much that I sold my PLR16 which was previously my favorite 5.56 pistol. Of course this was before braces came out and made AR pistols less goofy...

Yeah after shooting my FM in a few matches I'm selling my Ruger. It's a cool little gun but the FM is so similar in operation to the rest of my AR's I might as well stick with what I'm used to. This has become my favorite gun to shoot.

Not the best pic....but here is my Sub 2000 with Gen 19 magwell. I bought a small pack and added extra padding at the bottom and an interior strap. I put a 3 pouch molly mag holder on the front and combined with the exterior pockets and pouches I have 8 (15 rd standard G mags) and 2 (33 rd "fun sticks") with one 40 rounder from ETS.......that is 226 rds. It could carry even more mags and has room for additional ammo. Paired with a CC G19......that is a pistol/carbine combo in a low profile pack with quite a bit of firepower.

I second the Kel-Tec sub 2000, I have the 9mm. What other gun can you get large cap mags (Glock 30+), fold up into a briefcase or backpack, technically carry as a concealed RIFLE and not be hampered by 30.06/07 regs and not even need a LTC. And not anywhere near your $800 limit. The fact that it is a rifle yet foldable small and always seems to work makes it very desirable.

I have 550 in credit with CAA but I don't know what to get. I want the one for M&P but the gen 2's are only out for the Glock and I don't have a Glock. So now I'm wondering if I get the gen 2 for a Glock, and buy a Glock, get the gen 1 for the M&P, or leave the credit for a year until they come out with a gen 2 for the M&P...

BTW......I have a lightly used S&W M&P compact with like 6 or 7 mags and two kydex holsters (IWB and OWB). I might be interested in a straight trade for a Mechtech conversion unit...........anyone?

I have an M&P also, which I shot my LTC course with......to be honest....it is my least favorite of the plastic 9mm's. G19, Sig365, and Walther CCP.........I enjoy much more.

I love my gen 1 M&Ps and think the gen 2s are waaaay nicer, so they are among my favorite. Especially with the apex triggers. Otherwise, I wouldn't care for them as much. After shooting polymer berettas, sigs, rugers, not tried any walthers... I think the M&P is right up there with the best of them. However, nothing touches my m9a1. That thing is a lambo.
