What kind of loads do you guys run for a standard 115 grain bullet? I don't need anything spicy, just a standard load that's affordable and runs well. No lead bullets, standard FMJ. Also, if you have a recipe for a good 147 grain sub-sonic load that'd be swell.
For 147 gr. I use Precision Delta FMJs. They are loaded with 3.4 gr. of Titegroup to 1.145" OAL. That gives me around 900 FPS out of my Beretta 92FS Vertec. That is also my load for USPSA and IDPA.
What HE said. Except I use 3.5gns. The ONLY issue is that if your weapon has a heavy recoil spring, you might have to either go a little hotter, or get a lighter recoil spring. Acetone has a CZ ( 18lb spring ) and it won't cycle in it all the time. He is gonna get a lighter spring ( 14lb ) and we will see how it works. That load does work well on my Sig 226, my HK USP, my Kahr PM9 and my MP5 It is a little dirty, but not horrid. A little titegroup goes a looooong way ! I like it. It works well in my SWR Trident 9 .
I have been using 5.3 gr sr7625 with a 115gr tmj. When I use up the 7625 I will go with 231 or HP38 when I can find some.
Thanks guys ... I want to try out the 147 gr. load with my G19. I doubt it will cycle with the factory spring, but using a lighter weight spring it'll probably work.
I went shooting with a friend that had a brand new XDM and I let him shoot a few hundred rounds of my 147 gr. reloads. There was not a single FTE or jam of any type with the stock recoil spring. I do use a lighter recoil spring on my Beretta but it would probably run fine without it. Loading...
