Meanwhile, Gen X is sitting back and watching the shit show between Boomers, Zoomers, Millennials, eating popcorn and waiting for the collapse.
gen X has as many whiners as boomers, zoomers and millennials don't kid yourself now.

I had to break out my nanobot scale violin (and nanobots to play it) to play in sympathy with the plight of the Millennials over this.
I have to agree with Trey. It kind of makes sense that people who have worked for a lifetime have a little more financial stability than the people who haven't been working for much more than a decade at the most and that are likely in the process of starting/raising a family. It's not really an us vs. them issue, or at least it shouldn't be.

I hate all this. I get called a Boomer but my parents are Baby Boomers. I am Gen X. WTF ever...I don't care.

Anyone older than 30 seems a target to be labelled a Boomer. I've seen a few year-ranges for the generations - I claim the last year of Gen X, because I sure as hell won't lump myself in with the majority of Millennials. Are there conservative / libertarian millennials who aren't lazy, entitled shits? Sure. They seem to be a minority, but maybe that'll change since they're in their late 20's / early 30's now and realize that being part of the Free Shit Army and voting for socialist policies hasn't worked out (I know, I can also pray for a unicorn to saunter up with saddle bags loaded with gold for me too.)

Ain’t none of those broad labels that apply to me.
This is how I feel. I'm not even sure I am human sometimes. Or maybe I am and most others aren't? Hard to tell.

I do know that I've never owned a video game system, only had one computer before which is long gone, no wifi, no streaming services, no cable TV, qno Amazon, no social media outside of TGT and Facebook. FB I'm usually banned from anyway, so I don’t spend much time there. I have Christian values although I don't consider myself as religious. I'm pretty far away from the definition of a Millennial although I'm definitely in the age range. Then I look at some definitions of other generations and those don't really fit either since I wasn't alive for them. I'm just a younger conservative who doesn't want to be fucked with by people and especially the government.

It's funny, I listened t that song back in the '90s but only recently got the reference!

I've been called a 'Boomer' by people *older* than me! I'm 45, born in '76, which is sort of between Gen X and whatever the hell came afterwards.
The mistake that people make is trying to make a 'generation' 18-25 years, it isn't, it's closer to 15 years. The 'Baby Boomers' start around '45 or '46 for sure, but the cut-off is around 1961. Generation X is the next generation, from around '61 until the mid-'70s. Gen Y - a/k/a 'Millennials' - (I hate that name) is from the mid-70s to around '90; Gen Z ('Zoomers') is around '90 until around '05 or so. I've no idea what somebody born after '05 is called!

The last of the Boomers are hitting 60......

I don't know about other Boomers (I'm about to hit 65), but the last thing I want to do is sign a 30 year mortgage or any long term contract for that matter.........

Home is paid for, it would be foolish to sell and buy another inflated property....

Life insurance could pay the house off (mortgage protection, FEX) but yeah - unless you have a huge house and just want to downsize, or move across the country - selling and buying a new house isn't something most folks in that age range I know would be hot to do. I *do* have an aunt and uncle who are in their early 60's though, who do plan to do just that. My uncle is a civvie contractor with the DoD - he spent 20+ years in military intelligence, got out and went to work as a contractor doing basically the same thing. They live in a DC suburb in VA right now, once he retires they're selling their house there and moving here to be close to family. Given the inflated real estate costs though, they'll probably be able to buy outright down here and not have a mortgage.

I don't understand how this a win for anyone? So people who are older and have more financial stability and equity are able to buy a house easier than people who are just entering the market. What's next? Apples are red?

To the left, everything is Divide and Conquer. Class, Age, Wealth, Race, Sex, you name it.

This is just another example to pit Americans against each other.

    Sadly, many fall for it.
