After almost 3 weeks without A/C the compressure unit is being installed as we speak.
I had to buy a small window for the bedroom to get by on until now.
Last year it was the unit at the furnace that had a leak then this year the compressure.
Now that everything is new hopefully it will last another 18 years.

How did our fore fathers in Texas deal with this heat before Air Conditioning?

A wise old cousin of mine postulated that the reason the South overtook the Northern States in production after the War of Northern Aggression (1860-1865), was because air conditioning allowed us to be more productive in the summer months, while the Northern States took siestas in the hottest times of day.

Well I never had to use the A/C unit that was in my last house being 40 miles N/W of
Chicago because where I was it never got that hot and the humidity was always low.
Never had to live with A/C till I moved to Texas.

Man, that's rough. I'll bet tempers are a little fraid in the house. Hope they get your A/C all working tonight D.

A/C is working now and the house is starting to get comfortable.
The installers just left about 30 minutes ago and just made it before dark.
Thank you Pro-Tech Air for a great job .
