A stiff conservative wind blew today. John Boehner's right hand man, Eric Cantor, has just been retired from public service, by an 11% margin.

Let me be the first to congratulate our newest member of Congress (he's running unopposed in November), Dave Brat, despite being outspent 50 to 1.

I stand corrected. I read that the democrats didn't file in time to bid a candidate in November. No worries, though. VA-7 is solidly red.
