If it wasn't for all the regulations surrounding suppressors, those prices would be common. From what I have seen, they are not complicated devices. If people were free to make/buy them at will, you'd probably see $20 disposable cans too.

because its not illegal to sell what they are selling.

Kind of like a gas station selling gasoline

Its fine to sell but can be used for illegal purposes

It's 100% legal for them to sell these, and for anyone to buy them.
What makes them illegal is for someone to buy one, drill the unfinished pieces, and install them on a firearm without first filing a Form 1,paying for and receiving a $200 tax stamp from the BATFE.

Think of these "Solvent Traps" as an 80% lower. It's not a firearm / suppressor until you make it one!

    Correct.

You can buy one, but it would be prudent that you use it solely as intended... as a solvent trap and nothing more. Drill that hole, get caught, and you may find yourself getting your hole drilled at the Greybar Hotel.

I have wondered over these past few days if these guys WERE actually a reputable company... All this negative chatter about them being the ATF in disguise may have killed their business for good.

A friend of mine who is also a FFL and holds manufacturing license has purchased and tried them (in CA). They were not impressive in his mind. While the can itself was good, the baffling not so much.
