Makes a load of sense, worth the read.

JOHN STOSSEL: And the regulations now require insurance to cover things I don't want – alcohol treatment, acupuncture, all kinds of things. And I can't buy it from out of state.

JOHN MACKEY: You can't. Imagine if regulations required you to buy certain kinds of food when you came into the store: You must buy that food – you don't want it, maybe you're a vegetarian – but the government decided you need to purchase a certain percentage of meat whether you want it or not, so that's analogous, I think.

I just read Glenn Becks book, "Argueing With Idiots", and he covered the same points. Some people in Great Britian have the same issues with their socialized medicine. One stat was that 20% of people with rectal cancer who are diagnosed early enough to be treated are deemed untreatable by the time they can see a specialist to get treated. Some patients have to wait up to 2 years to get in to see a specialist for other types of treatment.

BTW, that book is pretty good. It discusses alot of topics that are covered here on TGT as well.

Harry Reid clip just played on Morning Joe. Same crap, people are dying without health care coverage. They don't talk about how many die in a waiting line while holding their insurance card in countries with socialized medicine.

their claim of all these people dying doesn't hold water. with this bill there are still millions that will still be without coverage. tax us for ten years to get 6 or less years of coverage. only in washington does this make sense
