    You've thought it through. However there are a large number of people who think that they will just shoot squirrels for six months.

    I feed enough of them in my back yard, about time they return the favor!

    You are 100% correct. Most think just wander out in the woods and start shooting, game is everywhere. And if you live in the city that is true.

    When we lived in Scottsdale AZ we had wild pigs, snakes, Bobcats, rabbits living in our yard and we were will in the city limits. They were not afraid of humans at all, now you could not walk up to them but they would look at ya and hope for a hand out. So folks think the rural woods are full of game.
