Interesting read of the law concerning states protecting their borders. States have the right, Fed does NOT!! Fed controls citizenship/legal immigration and international borders.

The southern border IS an international border.
I'm not sure about the laws about who protects it, but it should be the state, with Federal back-up, if needed.... I'd be happy if the fed would just send us financial and military aid, like they do with Ukraine. We can take care of it ourselves, just get them to help pay for our cleaning up the mess.
