    Gunz are icky.
The only .357 I saw was at Cabela’s.
It was couple of boxes of lead bullet cowboy mouse fart loaded stuff made by HSM.
I’ve tried this stuff before and its terrible. Very erratic. Keyholing, etc. ‘spensive as hell too.

Scored some CCI mini-mag and Federal HST 9mm at Academy today.
went to two stores. Both had a good selection.
    Gobs of .223, .308, 300BO, 9mm fmj, .40, .45aarp.
Went by Cabela’s too. They had a lot of fudd caliber rifle stuff with some .38spec.
No .30-30 to be found. No .45-70 either.
Niether Academy had much in the way of bird shot shotshells. Some buck and slugs.
I went to Academy in Pasadena (BW8 at Crenshaw) and they had plenty of shot shells and even buck shot. Plenty of 223, even XM855A1. I know they had 30.06, but I don't recall if they had any 30-30. But if you really need some and they don't, I have a few boxes I can sell or trade. I'm starting to load my own, so I don't mind selling a little of the factory stuff I have.

Pretty much what I figured, bummer. Well it's down to make it or don't shoot.

For the most part it looks like most of the more common sizes and brands are regularly in stock again. No more lines at 6am to get 2 boxes. Prices are still significantly higher than pre pandemic prices but it's available enough to where people can't try and price gouge already inflated prices.

Wasn’t Academy but I dropped into Bass Pro tonight. Tons of .223 and 5.56 on the shelf, some .22, .40 and a smattering of other cartridges.

Lots of Hornady and Berry’s bullets too.

I’m not sure if this is company wide but my local Academy on 75 in Plano has gone back to limiting what you can purchase. It’s now 4 boxes total of anything per day. A couple of weeks back they limited handgun ammo to 4 or 5 boxes daily but you could still pick up additional boxes of rifle and shotgun ammo.

Looks like they are getting hit with distribution problems a bit more than usual.

Dropped by today and lo and behold they actually had a fair amount of ammo. Bought 400 rounds of Minimags ($11.99/box, ouch) and my wife grabbed their last 100 round box of Federal 115gr for $37. This helps keep the supplies topped off with prices I can live with. They had a lot of .308, 5.56/.223 and a smattering of other rifle cartridges. Tons of .40 S&W, some .45 AARP, other brands of 9mm and lots of shotgun shells.

It's good to see supplies loosening, now hopefully prices will drop a bit. Would love to find .357 getting stocked again too.

The local store was just like this yesterday afternoon.
    Plenty of 9mm, 40, and 45.
Rifle was mostly 223/5.56 and 308. A few other Fudd calibers but no 30-30, 30-06, or 45-70.
22lr was avialble as well. Some mini-mags and bulk golden bullet boxes.
Shotshells were there. I didn't look at them very closely but I did see some 12ga dove loads and buckshot.
4 boxes of ALL types was the purchase limit.
