I don’t hunt but I’ve got a .30-30 as well because I just love lever action. Ammo was unobtainable for quite a while. I got the gun during the plandemic, so I didn’t have any ammo to start with. When it did show up it was sporadic so I bought a box or two at a time when it was available. Now it’s been in stock for a couple of months now, and in several different flavors as well. The Academy in Baytown had 30/30 Monarch for about $22 a box. I bought two. I got back to my place today and shot one box of it. I love me a lever-action 30/30.
I may shoot the other box tomorrow after a couple of cups of coffee.
Thte cabelas in FW had ppu 30-30 for 17.99 a box. It was flying off the shelvesThe Academy in Baytown had 30/30 Monarch for about $22 a box. I bought two. I got back to my place today and shot one box of it. I love me a lever-action 30/30.

I’ve got a Rossi 92 .357/.38 spec trapper length. Its my favorite rifle. About the size of a Daisy BB gun. It’s one of the more affordable ones, you should check it out.I use to buy a box or two every once in a while for my 30-30, just to have the brass for reloading.
I would really also like to have a lever-action in pistol cartridge as well one day.
OK, but don't forget to also get a pistol in .30-30. Those are fun.I use to buy a box or two every once in a while for my 30-30, just to have the brass for reloading.

I have several of my lever guns and pistols in the same caliber - .22, .357, .44.I use to buy a box or two every once in a while for my 30-30, just to have the brass for reloading.

Pretty much same at mine, except they have loads of .44mag here, and have had them for a while now. Also, they are running out of room to keep the .556, and at almost $1 a round, I see why. Nobody can afford to shoot at that price.Local store had a ton of ammo yesterday.
Lots of .22LR, 22WMR, 9mm, 40, 45acp, 223/5.56, 308, 30-30, 243, 350L, 380.
Just a small amount of 10mm HP.
Zero 38, 357, 44mag or special, 45colt.
Probably ten or twelve brands of 9mm. Lots of Monarch labeled stuff.
Academy near me is finally getting to where they have 38 spec just about every time I go. I noticed yesterday the .32 as well. Still no .357 mag. Seems folks are pushing back due to stupid prices. 9mm and 5.56 both consume almost half of the ammo real estate, and it grows every time I go in. No Russian ammo left though. Not even the small boxesBeen to several Academy stores in the last few days. Lot of auto pistol calibers available.
Even saw some .32 S&W Long and 30 Super Carry in a couple of stores. But any 38 or 357 or 45Colt? Nooooooooo.
5.56 falling off the shelves there is so much of it.
Shotshells still kinda thin.
Fudd rifle stuff kinda thin as well.
Yes, four box limit stillAre they still limiting you to 4 boxes?
I got lucky this past weekend. Went to Walmart and they had a sign up about the 3-box limit.
Saw they had 10 boxes of Federal 325 rounds .22lr. The cashier asked how many boxes do I want. I was honest and said "the sign there says 3 box limit." He said "how many do you need?" I told him I'd be happy with 5, that way there's some left for others."
Rang up up my 5 boxes and I had a smile on my face walking out.
Same in Cedar Park & Round Rock.Yes, four box limit still
Our local Walmart isn't carrying any ammo at all. Every time In the last few months, there is less and less shotgun ammo on the shelves. So I think they are just selling off remaining stock and not going to stock any ammo anymore. The shelves that had the rifle ammo are bare. The shelves behind the counter that had the 22 ammo are bare. Are they still limiting you to 4 boxes?
