Looks like shelves are staying stocked with 9mm now. To the point where people don't have to wait at 4am. Other handgun sizes seem to still be hit and miss. I haven't seen 40 S&W or 45 in a while.

What store has $17.99 9mm 50rd boxes? Every store in the Houston area jacked up prices to $21.99 on every brand.

Unfortunately I don't think we'll ever see 9mm for under 20 cents per round again. The days of 16 cent rounds are long gone..... Right now shopping for ammo is about who's screwing you the least.
I just paid 18 cpr at Academy 2 days ago for CCI brass. The Federal was 20 cpr. I just grabbed a couple for the heck of it.

YAH, BUT WHO THE HELL WANTS TO GO TO LAKE JACKSON??:what:
I moved away from there over 20 years ago. I only go back to visit my parents. It actually used to be okay, the place where people from surrounding areas would do all their shopping/dining to avoid driving into Houston. Now business close as fast as they open there.

prices must be going down everywhere except Houston. It's still going for $21.99 for a 50rd box around here.

    That place east of Waco....
    Academy in Waco had 5.7x28, 5.45x39, 5.56 NATO, & birdshot in 12 & 20. The 20ga #6 birdshot was $16.99/25. I didn't bother.....

.....and Waco hasn't seen 9mm in nearly a year.

Was visiting Lubbock over the weekend and ran into academy to buy some rain jackets. Surprised to see these 200 round battle packs of PPU 9mm just sitting there in the middle of the day. $69.99 each...highest price I have paid for 9mm (~36 cents with academy card discount), but was just happy to get that much of it out of the blue. They let me pick up 4 packs.

Just stopped by the Kirby location in Houston. They were pretty well stocked. Looks like they have 9mm Federal 50rd boxes for $17.99 again (as opposed to the $21.99 it's been for a few months). All the other brands are still selling for $21.99 per box.

I made a pass at the Plano location off 75 and Spring Creek today around 11am. The shelves were full of 9mm from Federal, Remington, and even a no-name or two. If I had to guess they had a couple of hundred boxes of various 9mm ranging from $19.99 for the Federal American Eagle 124gr (apparently this store doesn't have the same pricing system as mm54943 just mentioned in the post above mine), to $24.99 (I think) for some brown box Remington 115gr. They even had a few .38 boxes at $26 or $29 and various 12 and 20ga dove/quail shells. I was pleasantly surprised because I was told by one of the counter guys a few weeks back that their trucks come in on M/W/F. I just stopped by today for a bore snake and walked out with that, and 3 boxes of 9mm.

I thought when I walked out that this is probably the first time I've shown up in the middle of the day over the last 4 months where they had anything left on the shelf that wasn't Tula .223, or an odd box of .22.
