You are wrong about this. 9mm never went back to $12/50. .22 never went back to $17/ 550.

Other than some generic hunting rounds, nothing made it back to its older price.
I regularly bought 9mm for 17 cents a round from on-line sources and Academy had it for $18 or $19/100.

    When?

And it doesn’t count if you are buying Monarch at what used to be Federal/Remington/Winchester prices.

Last bought 1000 rounds each of Federal 115 grain for about $170 and 1000 rounds of Federal 147 grain at $180 with free shipping just before ammo became unavailable and prices jumped so high in early 2020 when George Floyd was killed and the China virus took off

From 2011 to the start of the last hike regular non-sale price was $15-18 per 50 for generic name brand brass 115 FMJ in the price valleys and more than $1 per round at the panic peaks...all three times it spiked.

Well I never paid that much for 100 rounds of 115 grain Winchester White Box 9mm at Academy

It was always less than $20 per hundred

They just priced them according to the new news out there about 9mm pistols and ammo trying to be banned. Once that banning talk starts it's up, up, and away!;)
