    Academy was selling out of them as soon as they would get them in. I stood in line a couple of times with the neckbeards when it was shipment day they would buy them before they got into the racks.

    Again, I think y'all are mistaken. They were most definitely on the shelf ( when they could get any to stock) in ultra liberal Austin immediately after and during the neckbeardpocalypse that followed Sandy Hook.

    I really think they just flew off the shelves so fast that it appeared that they pulled them.
    That is how I recall it too. Those, full capacity mags, .22lr, and other ammo too.

    I guess the reason they get somewhat of a pass is because after Sandy Hook when the supplies vanished and the prices went stupid, Academy didn't pull a Cheaper than Dirt and double the prices on everything scary.
