Mine was Carbine Only. I think they do host 3 gun matches at that range in Corpus though. 4 of us carpooled down from Fort Worth and it was a ton of fun.

Twas at Leppo's range out off Boys Rance and 116?

CCPC has shooting matches 3 outta 4 weekend a month. IDP, Action Pistol, and 3 gun. THAT weekend was the "3gun minus 2" match.

We are always looking for shooters, drop me a PM and I will get you out there......

Its the reloading lever for the cap and ball. It has no latch like the later dragoons, so if you load hot, it drops down just like the originals.

The standing joke is that its a monopod for shooting but really it should stay up.

Learned something new. That's a pretty funny issue, does someone make a pin for it to retrofit a fix, or is it kinda the mark of the pistol design?

You could always tie wrap it to the barrel, then just slide the tie wrap forward off the lever when you have to reload. ;) I'm not really familiar with cap and ball stuff though.
