Looks like they put pressure on the lesser known websites too, to take it down.

Edit: I stand corrected. Bestgore hasn’t removed theirs. You also can’t use google chrome. Apparently google hates some websites enough to blacklist content. Use Firefox for pc or android and iPhone default browser is fine.

I can load bestgore with chrome and see it.

They can't even possess the video, so banning guns shouldn't be all that difficult.

#IMPORTANT NZ police would like to remind the public that it is an offence to share an objectional publication which includes the horrific video from yesterday's attack ⚠️ If you see this video, report it immediately. Do not download it. Do not share it. If you are found to have a copy of the video or to have shared it, you face fines & potential imprisonment.

--- What are the penalties for possession or trading in objectionable material? ---

Anybody found “knowingly” in possession of objectionable material can receive a maximum of 10 years imprisonment.

Every time a person downloads objectionable material onto their screen, there is the potential for a possession offence having been committed.

Anybody who knowingly makes or knowingly trades, distributes, or displays an objectionable publication via the Internet can receive a maximum of 14 years imprisonment.

A body corporate can be fined up to $200,000.

They restrict free speech. Their leader can announce gun law changes without debate. New Zealand is pretty and they are, by any reasonable definition, a free country. But they don't have the sort of freedom produced by American exceptionalism.

I'm saddened for everyone over there right now but they are repeatedly reminding me of how lucky I am to live where I do.

Their bad ass hunting & fishing made me once think it would be a great place to visit.
It is a great place to visit. I highly recommend it, especially the South Island tracks and Milford Sound, but I would not want to live there for the reasons Ben stated.

No. These people are not free, their freedoms can be taken away with a whim, without due process, without debate. That is not how freedom works. It is not China or NORK, but it is not freedom either. I am more stunned by Freedom of Speech restrictions, than the gun restrictions.

NZ - beautiful, friendly people, but left, way, way, way left.

I wouldn't live there.... a month long visit was enough to see just how the left operates.....not me cuppa tea.....
