Big C I have to say the folks on this forum are great and that's because we have discussions and not mud slinging tournaments.
My point of view is based on my knowledge of the history of oil in this country and how American companies help develop the fields over there and how we got screwed. How our politicians viewed oil in the late 60's and how poor judgment and decisions have left the country a hostage to the Saudi's. The Saudi's are not our friends!!!!
Hawg was dead on when he said G. Bush was the only president with enough balls to go over there but also knowing Bush's relation with big oil I feel confident that kicking the bad Muslim ass was just part of the reason.
Like I said the Middle East is nearing the boiling over point.
With boots already on the ground we can better control the outcome.
Everyone has their own opinion based on their knowledge of the topic. I am no expert and my views are based on my knowledge as are other peoples views based on their knowledge. I find it very enlightening to discuss these topic with people of other views; this allows me to broaden by knowledge of the subject matter.
Of all the forums I visit this is the one I post on because folks here are open minded and respectful!
If my earlier post sounded as if I have the attitude of bring our troops home that is not the case. Our troops are doing a job that has needed doing for many years and God bless them for there due diligence and hard work! I just wish we had a leader that was as determined as Bush was to see this mess through to the end.
