She's been here almost 8.5 years now. She's gotten used to seeing the planes around here. She just needs to be prepared for the air show.

“Thunderbirds,” the F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team, and many others. It will also be a key event celebrating the 75th
anniversary of the U.S. Air Force. The Great Texas Airshow also includes
support from all services and features static displays and aerial
demonstrations by many military and civilian acts.

I was there as well. Ramstein was my 1st assignment. I haven't attended an air show since that day in '88. But it didn't stop me from making the Air Force a career.

Been to this one a few times. It's one of the best airshows in the state.

I guess i should clarify. I am new to the forum. I have lived in San Antonio since 1999. I was born and raised in Beeville, Texas.

Just seen a few WWII era looking and sounding planes circling the neighborhood. It was actually the sound that made me go outside and look, it's a rather distinctive rumble.

Edit... Just got buzzed by something much more modern. We couldn't see it because it was behind the house and the trees, but heck if it wasn't louder than shit. You could hear the air crack as it went by.

Probably an F-35. Got the most powerful engine ever in a single engine fighter, and it's loud as hell. And I'm pretty sure there will be an F-35 demo flight at that airshow.

My brother lives near LaVernia... His wife caught this picture of Doc flying over their place on it's way to Randolf yesterday.

Doc and Fifi are the last two flight worthy B-29's.
