AK Afficianados?

Soon after I arrive down Texas way, I'll be grabbing my new AK receiver.
I'm also looking to have a parts kit bought prior to arrival and a barrel.

I'll be in Allen, close (enough) to the DFW area. Are there any build classes or groups that get together every so often to help one another piece these things together in to a usable form? I'm pretty much a DIY kinda guy when possible. I had my first AK built but would really like to tackle putting one together from the ground up if at all possible.

I haven't heard of anyone hosting an AK build party in a long time, not since cheap parts kits dried up. Do you have a press available?

I won't have much of anything when I arrive. I sold my machines so I didn't have to move them. We will be in a temporary home until we find something and I won't want to purchase much that isn't easily portable until that time.

I plan on building soon, but I'm in SW Houston. There's guys on the AK Files up there, though.
