    howdy all...

can the triple X suppressor withstand 308 pressures? have one that i bought from Mike a lotta years back and its still going strong on my 223 and 9mm AR's

thinking about opening up the threads to 5/8x24 and putting it on a 308 bolt gun iffin' it'll contain the higher pressures...anybody done that with this can?

    TIA

A .308 can needs nearly twice the volume of a .223 can to function within the same pressure constraints. I personally would not recommend nor trust a can developed for something with considerably less powder volume on a larger caliber.

Using a pistol can on a rifle caliber may work simply by virtue of it's inability to maintain pressure via the gratuitous amounts of bore diameter (.355"+ vs. .224"), but frankly the performance has to suck compared to a purpose built rifle can.
