I was talking to a guy at the range the other day and he suggested the same thing. Will definitely have to try it out! Thanks!Hornady Black is a great affordable choice for target rounds.
Their match ammo should shoot better but is considerably more expensive.
If you intend to hunt go with the 143gr ELDX.
Pretty much Hornady all around.
I'd suggest starting out with 6.5 Creedmoor before branching out into other things you think might fit.
13 years behind the gun counter gave me a very jaundiced view of most gun owners.
That didn't make sense????

Work behind a gun counter.
I had people walk in and want a box of 7mm ammo. When asked what kind I was informed that it didn't matter because it was like 38/357. At the time we had 7mm Mag, 7mm Weatherby Mag, 7mm Mauser, 7mm-08, and 7MM Remington Express. Needless to say he walked out without ammo.
That's only the tip of the iceberg. 50% of people are of below average intelligence, and it seems the majority of them own firearms.
I believe he was half joking. Maybe. That didn't make sense????
He asked what ammo to buy for his 6.5 CM and you responded 6.5 CM???
