I've already made my first payment. I'll be paying for quite a while. It's more expensive than any gun I've ever bought.

But, I'm starting to have doubts. So, opinions would be appreciated.

Is it stock or had work done. How old, i.e. early or late production.

These are the things we need to know, lol

ETA a good inspection by quality 1911 guy would be important too. Checking parts fit and assembly quality.

I don't know how early or late production. The serial number is A00158.

There was some work done on it. The original owner left a bag of original parts that he replaced (firing pin, grips, guide rod & spring, and bushing.

Well evidently it's had some work done on it. I'd buy it, but then I'm a big fan of 1911's anyway.

That’s a good looking gun, if the price was right, I’d go for it. AMT doesn’t make guns anymore, so I bet it’ll just go up in value if you want to sell it a few years down the road. Plus, find another one and then you can say you have agent 47’s silver ballers lol

    I bought A15152 in 1981.

Mine was the worst Jam-O-Matic I every had, a complete POS. I traded it in a Stainless Springfield Loaded and never regretted it.

I don't know much about this particular gun, but I had a bit of buyers remorse when I bought my 1911 that I carry now. Although I did my research and even got to hold one and look it over good, and I found one cheaper than most places, I still asked myself if I paid too much. I now know it was worth every penny.

To me, that's an interesting and good looking gun and now I'm kinda jealous. I hope you come to find that it is worth every penny as well.

I remember conversation about you being able to rack the slide on a gun a while back. Can you rack the slide on the Hardballer?

never had one, always wanted one. they've always had the reputation of jamming due to the slide galling along the frame. something about the SS slide/frame rails being too soft or ?
