    [FONT]I went by the local shop this morning… had some trade bait that just didn’t fit me anymore.[/FONT]

    [FONT]Looked at a lot of stuff, and almost went away empty-handed, but the dealer kept pushing a particular hand-gun on me (at a very, very good price). It’s not something I’d usually consider, but I thought to myself: It has been a long time... what the heck… I’ll risk it.[/FONT]

    [FONT]Took it out back this afternoon and ran a few rounds thru it for function (and casual target) testing. It fed everything I shoved in it, and I was able to make the rounds hit my steel plates with regularity. [/FONT]

    [FONT]I’m happy…. this is the first NEW Colt I've bought in about 12 years, and if they keep builiding them like this, they might finally arise from the dead! :patriot:

    I bought an original Combat Elite back about 1990... this one is much better... IMO, of course.

    I was gonna wait a full century to add a companion to my Dad's old service pistol, but who knows if Colt will even be in business in 2014?! :o
