Max -
You don't know the folks on here - me included - yet you want to jump in and make assertions, allegations, and generally act like an ass from square one and expect folks to fawn over you because you have some magic beans (.22 ammo). That's not how this group works.
You're right that a lot of forum trolls are kids or keyboard commandos. I'm neither. You're too new to know that. My advice? Sit back, get to know the place and its members, and learn how we interact with each other - positive and negative. The range of folks represented here would astound you. What they would (and do) do for and with each other is probably incomprehensible to you. That's sad, IMO.
As for get-togethers and special events? This is a community that does, in fact, do these things. Arranging large group shoots, meeting for weekly lunches, setting up special events, including regional events, of which a celebration on the return of Blue Bell (when that finally happens) augmented by a visit to a local ammo warehouse followed by some gratuitous use of said ammo is likely to be a highly-attended event. Have you even wandered around the forums enough to read the Blue Bell thread (and if you didn't think ice cream was as much a religion in Texas as BBQ before you started the thread, you would when you finished)?
As for religion, we can even have some pretty heated arguments about that, too, but even that hasn't come close to the sort of disrespect you started out spewing (and continue to spew).
We're not arfcom - we're not a bunch of tacticool folks fapping to pictures of guns and dreaming of going to the range (not all of us, at least). We're shooters, hunters, friends and families that share a common interest and have a desire to form a common bond (each person to their own degree, for sure).
Your approach doesn't fit this community and it's why you've seen, are seeing and will continue to see the pushback.
We'd all welcome a change but experience tells us that's not likely to happen. Your call.
