Picked up another Ruger 10/22 Carbine. Cabala's had them on Black Friday sale for $169.99. I had a $10 off Cabela's Bucks card and with my military/veteran discount it came to $164.41 out the door!

I swapped off the Nikon 4-12x40 ProStaff Rimfire II scope from my 10/22 Take-down and put it on the new 10/22. Put the Vortex Viper red dot on the TD. Can't wait to get to the range zero both and do some plinking!

Was not aware Cabelas offers a veterans discount. 5% it looks like? Is that across the board, or only on certain items?

I have the 25rd mags. Do need to get the 15rd ones. THANKS!
ONLY if you want 15 rds. I have never used anything but the 25 rds mags. Don't know how many rds I have put down the pipe of a 10/22 but I can account for at least 25,000 on one gun before I finally passed it on to a young kid as a starter gun.

Never had any issues with my 25rd mags and no matter the .22 lr I fed it, its ate it like candy.

I don't know what the KIA count was in snakes, but one of the ranchers I knew welcomed me for a 3 day snake kill on his nearly 2 miles of Bosque river that ran thru his ranch. I would go down often on Memorial day weekend and walk that river killing snakes and it was FULL of water mocs. I remember one time I got 7 KIA's in one area not more than 50 yds long. I would get 30+ over those 3 days, never could figure out why they were so dense thru his property. It was a cattle ranch and due to the amount of river that went thru the ranch it was the only place for the cattle to get water.

Water moc killin is more fun that a stack of comic books and the 10/22 that gun can KILL!
