Yeah, liberals to this day brag about how Obama is a "constitutional scholar". The truth of the matter is he taught an "intro to the Constitution" survey course for 12 years at the University of Chicago. Basically one of those freshman intro courses with a bunch of students, a majority of whom would wind up dropping out of law school that skims the surface of its subject matter without diving into any detail or anything you'd call detail. And after 12 years as a "senior lecturer" (not a professor), he was never offered tenure.

Quite honestly, I think most activist judges merely don't care, they're labeled "activist judges" for a reason.

I wish I would have saved the specific excerpt from the ruling, but a few years ago when Chief Judge Sidney Thomas wrote the majority opinion in opposition to a firearm-related lawsuit, he essentially flat-out dismissed and outright ignored certain historical and factual arguments. There are many things that are irrefutable based on history, or just plain old statistics/'the numbers.' Despite such hard facts on a myriad of topics, Judge Thomas ignores it, rules against it, siding with the state on the grounds that CA can do pretty much whatever they want, since the bar for what is considered "Constitutional" is merely whether or not the state thinks the law will prevent shootings, therefore the law is de facto Constitutional.

He has since been replaced as Chief Judge of the 9th Circuit, but in reality like it matters lol his replacement is just as much a political activist in a robe as any other judge.

It really is a circus.
