'Top of the hill, Kerr County!
They're some mean little "cripplers". Visiting my Grandparents in Breckenridge, TX in the summer when I was 6 or 7 was always great until we'd go runnin' out across the hard packed sand and hit one of those. I don't know who made that name up (probably my grandmother) but I figured it was 'cause it was like stepping on a minature "goat head" with little horns! Coundn't put your foot down for several hours after an encounter with a "goat head".

(we need a smilie for intense pain)
