    This is not a public pole and is just for fun more or less.
    It gives us a place to vent our frustrations in these troubled times.
    A response it not required only a vote.
    Please don't flame me this is just for fun and venting.
    I know most all of us are feed up or close to feed up with the direction we are headed and just want to blow off steam.

    CYCLES OF CIVILIZATION

    The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been two hundred
    years.

    These nations have progressed through this sequence:

    From bondage to spiritual faith;
    From spiritual faith to great courage;
    From courage to liberty;
    From liberty to abundance;
    From abundance to selfishness;
    From selfishness to complacency;
    From complacency to apathy;
    From apathy to dependence;
    From dependency back again into bondage.

    Sir Alex Fraser Tyler: (1742-1813) Scottish jurist and historian

    Those who do not remember the past, are condemned to repeat it.

    George Santayana

    We need a "common sense" revolution. People have lost their damn minds.

    Man you said a mouth full.
    If common sense was common everyone would have it.
    Man has never learned that he repeats his own mistakes because he forgets his past.
    May GOD bless America again and save us from ourselves!:patriot:

    Great idea, because everyone is having a hard time doing it anywhere else in the forum.

    I couldn't help myself.....

    A Revolution in line with the times (meaning it would likely not require muskets and swords) would not only be more likely that Texas seceding, but much justified.

    Amen. Truer words have ne'er been spoken.

    On the other hand, term limts for the House and Senate, plus photo ID required for voters, and a few other adjustments to the system might render revolutions obsolete in our Government's case.

    In any case the ridiculous idea that this is a democracy rather than a Republic could stand to be highly stressed to the weevils now in power.
