Another Dog Needs a Home Thread ( Some People just Suck)

Another dumped dog. Needs a home quick.
We will pay for all shots, initial checkup and drive him to anyone in the state that will take him.
6-8 month old pit or pit mix. about 45 lbs. Still has balls, very friendly, has not show any aggression to other dogs ( mine don’t like him but they are very territorial ) high energy and loves laps and playing. Also has been somewhat trained in Spanish.

Help this little dude out.

He also smells like someone gave him a bath before dumping him. Toe pads on his feet are pretty soft and he acts like he is house trained. He is on the front porch and he steps off the concrete to take care of business

We would rather not place him with a rescue, but would consider it as an absolute last resort.

Gotcha. The one in thinking of does foster homes till rehoming. They are particular (more than I would be) about placement.

@Hoji and I spoke on the phone and is an awesome person. I was just going to try and sneak him past the wife as if he was a stray in our area, but I manned up and asked my wife how much did she love me? First thing out of her mouth was, "What did you break?" I showed her the pictures of DOG, (that's @Hoji's temp name!) and she warmed up pretty quick. So hopefully he will have a new home this week. Thanks to Hoji.

Thank you @Axxe55. We are currently waiting on vets office to open them we will take Diogi to scan for a chip, hopefully get a well check, bloodwork, worm test and shots today.

Big thanks to @Axxe55 and @Hoji for helping this pup out. I am so glad to hear this pup found a home.

Our last seven dogs have been rescues, and rescues seem to make the best pets.

I will strongly be encouraging the vet to put him as a boxer mix

He has an 0900 appointment tomorrow morning. We will scan him then when we get him checked for worms, and get his shots done

Is there an advantage or benefit to listing him as a boxer mix as opposed to ridgeback mix?

If the dog gets listed as a pit or pit mix, then its harder to insure them, at least with some companies. Boxers are not on the naughty list usually.
