    He probably took the easiest/cheapest way out. 2 yrs seems to be the Gov standard anymore for about anything. Enough to say you been there but cuts Gov. expense. IIRC there is a cap on hobby related profits. Per 80% legal, just add the S/N. Can't sell without one. Actually both cases are really unrelated except ATF (really now just F..) has to find someone else to blame. Can't just be the shooter?

    You are right that they pretty much forgot about the alcohol and tobacco.

    I see a morphing position on the world. This organization started out for the purpose of collecting taxes on its namesake products. That morphed into "regulating" then controlling, and then the next step into the effort to eradicate the products in question.

    It is a shame Trump had his hands full enough that the ATF never got addressed.
