I just talked to one of my drilling customers and his brother has a business down there.
It was a Mariner Energy production platform. So I guess Obama will have to ban offshore production now.

It wasn't currently producing thankfully. You know, these things happening within a short amount of time really looks suspicious. This kind of thing was very rare up till now. Maybe the green weenies didn't think there was enough outcry against BP and the oil industry so they blew up another rig to make a bad situation worse. Two oil rig explosions in less than 6 months is just too convenient......

There is a bit of difference of a new well being cemented in and a production platform.
