This is a strange one:

1 dead, 4 critically wounded after a shooting at the Geneva Presbyterian Church in Laguna Woods, CA; UPDATE: Suspect is a 68-year-old Asian man

Shooter is supposed to be a 68-year old Asian. That is a first.

We've had black, white, and Asian mass shooters recently. Who says the U.S. isn't diverse. Name one other country that has done this.

Now we also have age diversity. 68 years old by the last report I saw. That's just a few years younger than me. It also said most wounded were of Taiwanese descent. Maybe some kind of racial stuff.

Dr. John Cheng, the victim who died, grew up in Marshall, TX. My wife, who is Taiwanese, knew him a little bit when they were growing up. Her siblings and their spouses knew him a bit better.

A little inside info about the shooting. It was a Chinese activist who hated Tiawanese people. Dr Cheng rushed the shooter and was shot, but it allowed others to subdue the shooter.


He had taken his mom to church for the first time since his dad died. The mom has now buried her husband and her son in a 3 month period. He left behind two high school aged kids.

It’s weird to me that a person can be filled with that level of hate.
