    Any one else into 17hmr?

I bought a Savage 93R17 back in 2004. Absolutely fell in love with it. Dang near laser accuracy.

I have the 93R17 with bull barrel. Thinking of having the barrel threaded so I can put a can on it. Very fun and accurate.

Good timing on this thread, I’ve been wondering about one recently.

    Any good semi autos?

I also have a Savage 93r17 with bull barrel. I threaded it to use my Dead Air Mask. It's fun shooting and very accurate IF there is no wind.
The basic stock suck though. It has a low comb for iron sights but didn't come with sights. The trigger is great.

Not aware of any being offered in semi-auto that I know of.

Check out the Boyd's laminated stocks. They have several versions that will fit the Model 93. I replaced my factory synthetic stock with one several years ago. World of difference. Before the LOP was too short, so it felt more like a youth's rifle for me. Also when I bought mine, they didn't offer the heavy varmint barrel with anything but the synthetic stock.

I added a Rifle Basis trigger sear to mine as well. I replaced the factory 3-9x40 scope with a BSA Sweet 17 in 6-18x42 as well.

On a wind less day, I have shot 2" groups at over 200 yards in the past. But if there is any breeze, I have seen bullets move as much as 8-10 inches.
