Oh yes, I got a Springer Loaded version with DD cocobolo grips and Novak Tritium sights. I liked it so much I bought a Taurus PT1911 and swapped the black plastic factory grips with DD cocobolo Hogues. I had to modify the grips to work with the ambi safety and enlarge the grip screw holes but it's a near match to the Springer though the grips lack the crossed cannons logo. I had a Glock M21 but after I bought the 1911s I said goodbye to the Austrian.

I am happy to say that I officially became addicted today. I purchased a Colt 1911 Government Model XSE two days ago and I took it to the range this afternoon. It was absolutely amazing, I put 100 rounds through it without any issues. I plan on going back to the range this weekend when I have more time to spend up there. But, I am definitely hooked... It is by far the most accurate gun I have shot with the exception of my Sig 220 Carry Elite. I highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a new 1911.

Sweet Jesus BT1911.... that's an arsenal right there... what brands are we looking at right here?... What has got to be your absolute favorite?

From L to R (top to bottom) we got:

    Para 7.45
    S&W 1911PD SS
SA Mil Spec - Carbonia blued by Ron's Gun Shop
Colt Series 80 (Upgrades by me with NP3 by Robar)
    Kimber Ultra Carry SS
    S&W 1911PD Scandium
Another Colt Series 80 (Upgrades by me)
    Kimber Classic Gold Match
    SA GI (Upgrades by me)
    SA Loaded Champ
SA GI (Upgrades by Gemini Custom)

As to favorites, well, they're all my children. I also noticed a couple of lowly Berettas snuck in the photo on the right. Must fix that.

So needless to say you give the Springfield assembly line a nod for great craftsmanship eh?

Which do you prefer? The Springfield or the Kimber...
