My old man has a BLR in 308. Can’t say I have any time behind, though he likes it well enough. Did say it has a bit of a kick if your recoil sensitive, not saying you are, just an FYI.

Trigger moves with the lever and is not, ummm, smooth from the factory. AJ at Blackjack in Austin worked on mine and it's money.
The take-down model is convenient. I have the full size with a scout scope and both a full size stainless and the Black Label 16" with a regular Leupy Fire Dot and they are all accurate as anything. All in .308. Mags interchange.
Felt recoil is pronounced, but it's a .308, so man up. :-) Or load down slightly like the Rem Managed Recoil loads.
Magazines can be pricey and there are no high caps as they would interfere with the lever throw.
The Black Label with a silencer and QD scope rings can be disassembled and put in a small, foam lined keyboard case. It's a treat.

I had one in 30-06. Not really that accurate. Traded it off. Beautiful gun though. Smooth action. If you get the 308 pm me as I may still have a rear receiver peep sight. It’s a skinner. You can have it.

    My old friend has one
In 7mm mag. I watch him put three rounds into a Utah buck as it was running towards him and the thing ran another 100 yards past. It was funnier than shit. Never cared for a 7mm mag but that rifle is beautiful.

I went on a guided mule deer hunt in Northern Utah 8 years ago. One of the hunters in the group used one in .308 to shoot his buck. Dropped him where he stood.
