Jeebus, how the heck are you guys not seasoning your duck and cooking it in its own fat. And no, salt by itself isn't seasoning :o

my son does this - cooks the whole bird - but it's a bit lengthier process to get them cook ready - than just breasting them

I don't like a lot of seasoning on my game, as i think it detracts from the bold natural flavors. Thats just my personal preference, though. I do cook them in their own fat, though.

The last duck I killed was in 1966. Have had no taste for them ever since.

If you like how they taste, go for it.

I can cook a split duck/goose breast, lay it next to a grilled New York strip, and after tasting each one, if your eyes were closed, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Except one would be much more tender. Wrapping duck in bacon, cream cheese, etc, is a terrible waste of a good piece of meat.

Put the spank on Angus, eat properly prepared waterfowl:)

Speaking of ducks, Ray Roberts was full of birds this past season.

Very curious to know how you get a NY strip to taste like duck.

Lol, I love duck, but that's quite a bit of a stretch.
