Any place in San Antonio that carries surplus rifles? Trying to keep the cost down as much as I can but prices seem to be crazy.

I'm looking for something in 8mm. Leaning towards a Yugo Mauser or if anyone is looking to sell/trade. Let me know.

Looking for a shooter, don't care too much if it's ugly and beat up as long as it shoots straight =)

    Thanks

Most gun shops that I've been to have surplus. Not sure if they have a Yugo Mauser or not though. I bought mine from one of the gun shows that frequent the area.

    San Antonio!
The Powder Horn used to carry milsurps, but if you're looking for a decent deal find a private seller or hit a gun show. Don't expect any deals at shops or stores...

    Thanks everyone.

Guess I'll just wait for a gun show and see what shakes out.

Try calling Mark Chernushin. Old rifles are his specialty.

    San Antonio!
I heard Mark was considering opening up a storefronts, anh idea if that's gonna happen?!? He's always at the local gun shows and has parted me with a lot of my money but he always (eventually) gives me a great deal on firearms...

I would recommend checking out the listings on Gunbroker. I had good luck going to gun shops in the past, but others here suggest it's not a fruitful experience.

There are usually plenty of Yugo Mausers on GB. Good luck!

    Try J&G sales on-line.
