For $139 I'd probably take a chance on it but I know next to nothing about optics.

Where's the shop? If you pass, maybe I'll go snag it.

I actually picked one one of these up and plan to take it out tomorrow, weather permitting.
I think Sightmark makes a pretty decent optic. I had one mounted on a 700 in .308 with Seekins rings and it performed as well as my SWFA.
The thing I think people skimp on rings and mounts. Sure Leuopold makes good optics but are their rings the best. I would say no.

Plus there are tons of variables that add up to precision.
For example: A guy has an off the shelf AR with a 1:9 twist, buys
Steel cased ammo puts a sightmark on it with the mounts it comes with and bam! Crappy optic review on the internet. Then of course there is the largest variable can he shoot? Maybe, maybe not.

Well it was ok. I mounted it in a Aero Precision mount and it held zero just fine. I shot with it on 2 different occasions. Once at 25 yards with Black Hills 77gr SMK.
This is a 5 shot group on a 3 inch target from a 13.7" barrel.

My group and 100 was much more spread out, with some horizontal stringing. I couldn't find my target but it was roughly 1.5 inches. I think I had a cant issue with my bipod because I was having the same issue with my .308 that day.

I would say its not a bad optic if you get a mil dot reticle, I got the circle dot and just didn't care for it.
