    Gunz are icky.
    I've a Savage Model 93 .22mag inbound.
The rifle comes equipped with a pair of scope mount bases.
I'm not exactly sure what kind of rings I'll need for the scope.
Are you satisfied with the factory bases?
What type of rings are you using?
Pics of your rings and bases?
Is there a better aftermarket base/ring set up?

I hear good things about Burris Signature Zee rings.
    Any comments about them?

What scope are you looking at putting on it?

I don't have that particular rifle but have found Savage supplied scope bases more than adequate for most shooters.

If they are mounted take them off and clean all the oil out of there. Savage can be heavy handed on the oil coverage. I always blue Loctite them back on.

Remove the stock and check for excess oil there too.

Moonpie, I've got a the 93 FV-SR in 22mag. Vortex scope and UTG rings. Also put a Boyd's Pro Varmit stock on it. The rings have held up very well even though they are cheap.

Nice rifle but I have questions. Why do you have tissues in a flip top mason jar? What's the stack of metal disc for? I won't ask about the brick...

The mason jar is full of micro fiber alcohol wipes. The isopropyl lasts longer/won't evaporate as fast in a sealed jar.

The metal discs, I just have those around for patching whatever, like a storm door, etc. They throw those away where I work, so I just keep some around.

The brick is more of a souvenir from a job a long time ago.

The bipod is a Harris and the base is what Savage shipped on it. Your pics look awesome!!

Thanks for the info and pictures.
Incomng rifle is a 93 BSEV. It has two small bases already on the gun. I'm not really sure what type they are.
I'm thinking Nikon or maybe Mueller scope.

What ammo does your rifle prefer?

    I saw some 50grn stuff at Cabela's.
    There is 30, 35, 40, 45 I've seen so far.

    Potato cam pics.
This one has the twist fluted barrel.
Order a Nikon Prostaff 5 3.5x14x40 scope today.
Probably gonna go with the Burris Signature Zee rings.
