The sad thing is that I've gone the last 12 years with my daughter and her friends from high school first,then Rice and then Emory.
She just took a job in Mbabane, Swaziland and therefore won't be co-piloting my car to Austin mañana.
I'm a bit melancholy about that absence!

I'm debating my appearance at the Mellow Johnny's Scout-A-Route bicycle ride Saturday morning! That's only 4 blocks north of the river and one block from Republic Square park(a main shuttle stop for ACL). PLUS, it's going to be about 58 degrees at the start of the ride!!! Brrrrrr. I do think the 9am start will get me there before all the parking spaces are taken; so there will be at least ONE spot opening up about 1130 when I leave. Dang...anything below 70 degrees on a bicycle is just TOO chilly!!! I'd rather have 98 degrees vs 58 !!!

Ehhh, I've been once, and didn't care for it.

If I'm gonna go to a concert I want the full experience.

ACL is like seeing a bunch of trailers for real concerts.

Proud to be one of the oldest millennials there!!!

My iPhone says I walked about 67 miles during the fest's 6 days. Good exercise?

A couple of guy-friends that were dreading going with their teens are converted and planning for next year.

Marcus Mumford's rendition of the Beatles/Joe Cocker "With a Little Help From My Friends" closing out Sunday was worth the price of admission.

This was my 12th year of the 15 they've done.
Life is good.

And tonight, in San Marcos, I shot 11 doves tonight to my son's 9!
Life is very good.
