    Computer crapped out, just in time for my trip. Gave me BSOD, now every time I boot, BSOD. Monitor won't work in safe mode, says something like display format not supported... Tried a spare monitor, same deal.Pretty sure I'm going tob have to do a repair install. I know XP is old, but so is the computer, and I like XP...I'll be driving up 35 tomorrow, straight through the state, and coming back the same way next weekend, so if anybody along that route can hook me up, I'd appreciate it.

    Comes with some pretty good disc utilities, etc....I used it to recover a HD from near death. Can't reinstall from it, but sometimes something is better than nothing....

    I have an OEM disc floating around here somewhere. Im about 75 miles from Temple. I might be able to meet you if you haven't found one.

    Thanks all, buddy in Houston is going to hook me up with his old system, loaded with 7.Alumahyde survived the range trip, you'll have to get up to SA and help me beat that shotgun up...
