Been watching some basic coverage. I find it pretty interesting given the protestors/rioters are made up of both sides of the political spectrum.

We talk a lot about people revolting over gun control, but these people are back to basics and took the TEA party to the extreme. The French president has an approval rating in the low 20s, and people are sick of footing the bill for globalism.

Video does a fair job of explaining the basic situation, crap that’s been going down, and why.

The 'brouhaha' is due to 'climate change politics' that Macron thought he would nobly help with.....that completely backfired.

French Elitists aka leftists, thought they'd 'do the right thing' and stop the middle class from their profligate use of fuel.

But of course, the Elitists get to keep and fly (or have flown) their private jets, gas guzzling limos, maintain their palatial homes with the so-called carbon footprint of a small city, and generally act like Marie Antoinette while expecting the 'little people' to do without, because it'll help slow or stop climate change.

    McAlester, OK
    Macon is a macaroon

The ‘Macron’ is the term used to express quantification of the property of moronity (stupidity). With most idiots, the degree of stupidity falls in the milli-macron range and is generally found to measure below (100) milli-macrons. The President of France is a rare phenomenon who should be recognized and treasured for his extreme stupidity which should set a lofty (though unachievable) goal for other Leftist Political Leaders to emulate.....

I see not so much as a whisper of the French protests and riots on CNN news home page or world page today.
It has been all over Fox and Drudge for days.

There is little wonder why some people are referred to as low information voters.

But, but... there can't be unhappy people or problems in Europe! After all, our liberal intelligentsia wants to the US to be just like Europe - in nirvana!
