Anybody use illuminated reticle scopes for hunting?

Just wondering if anybody uses one of these for hunting. If you do, please let us know your thoughts, pro and con and what type you have and what type of gun it sits on.

A friend has a S&B scope with one that really rocks. A bit rich for my poor broke ass.

There used to be an illuminator that attached to the front of rifle scopes available from Midway etc... I've heard some favorable reviews on them.
