I used to spend a couple of weeks a year, at least, in the Anaheim Hilton plus at least a week every year at the Anaheim Marriott. For those who don't know, both are about a block directly south of Disneyland.
At the Hilton, I usually had a small room with a large attached conference room overlooking the pool. (I needed a lot of room for my team to work.) It was certainly fun to sit in the conference room with the lights off and watch the fireworks every night. I thought they were great.
After a while I had put in too many really long days and tried many times to get to bed very early. I came to consider the fireworks to be nothing more than the nuisance that knocked me out of bed every night.
Side note: I never could get used to that gentleman's club across the street (or was it a block away?) from the park on the SE side. It was a jarring juxtaposition.
