Crappie should be spawning, I'll be at the highview marina at Lake Bardwell in the morning. If they're biting, I'll be having fish tonight. Crappie + Lousianana fish fry & homemade french fries+ deep fryer= greatness.

In Oklahoma, the lakes are man made with old, dead timber left right where it was We would tie up to one of the trees, drop our lines and fiddle with the depth a bit until we got it right. When everything clicked, we started sacking them up! Spring loaded Yo Yo's were legal as long as they weren't left unattended, so we'd string some of them on nearby standing trees. We'd hear a snap! then zip.....another Crappie came to join us!
