I don't know about that. I think I trust my neighbors more than some delivery guy, and my neighbors don't get a key to the house. That's just...hell no.

I have never had a problem with them leaving it on the porch. I certainly envision a delivery person staking out a place and on another day coming masked to burgle a home.

And on a funny note. A lady I worked with was experiencing a rash of burglaries in her neighborhood where they broke out a garage door window, reached in, and unlocked the garage door to gain entry to the house. She came home one day and found the garage door window broken and her heart sank. She opened the garage door and her German Shepard was sitting there to greet her with blood on his face. The inside of the garage door had a lot of blood on it. The German Shepard ate steak that night.

I would use Amazon locker before that
I've never worried about deliveries until recently when a package thief was photographed by one of those doorbell video cameras in my neighborhood. Previously, I'd never even heard of any package theft in my subdivision. Until that thief is caught, I'm using a local Amazon locker. The system works fine and since I tend to stop off at that location (a local Stripes) at least 3 times a week, it's totally convenient.

    Googling Amazon locker.
I've looked it up before-nearest one to me is like 25 miles away.

Since I'm rural, I've considered building a box to put out on the fence- insert package, and it locks when closed.

Only issue would be days when I get packages from multiple carriers.

    I didn't find one within 100 miles.
